Wild Thing Gets A Haircut

After the last embarassing appt. with my hair dresser (still so sorry Kelli!), we decided to take Gavin to one of those kiddie hair cut places. His mop was getting seriously out of control, he looked like he was starting to get a mullet! We showed up early on a Saturday and it turned out we were the first ones there. Gavin was hesitant at first, but soon was surrounded by all the cute hairdressers without clients. One cutting hair, one blowing bubbles to get his attention, one feeding him treats, etc. What a rough life for the little flirt! Hair cut turned out adorable, a short mohawk to finish out the summer!

Gavin Meets Chuck

This is kind of a random post, but I am excited to say that Gavin just got his first pair of Converse shoes and loves them! He runs around the house refusing to take them off, "chuse, mamma pease!" he says. So cute, my little rockstar.

D is for Drums & Dad!

Happy Fathers Day to my hero and best friend, my husband! You are the most amazing father, always able to make our little one laugh. There are so many wonderful things I know you'll teach little dude someday. How to play and see the fun in everything, that there's music in every part of our lives, always get up no matter how many times life knocks you down, how to be a gentleman and someday loving husband and father. I could not ask for a better role model or loving father than you. I am truly blessed that you are the father of my child, I love you very much and can't wait to see what the future holds for our family.

The Amazing Adventures of Buckethead!

We have toys. Okay, so we have lots of toys. We are like any other over-indulgent first time parents when it comes to Gavin. We buy just about anything that promises to make our kid smarter, happier or can entertain him for more than 5 minutes. So we buy EVERYTHING. Give us a break, we're new at this! Our living room, playroom (aka the office) and nursery are filled with all sorts of bright, colorful objects. So what does Gavin like to play with best? (All the experienced parents are shouting at the computer right now...) The stupid bucket the toys get put away in! Our little maniac loves nothing more than to dump all the shiny balls filled with interesting animals, jumbo Legos, gorgeous read & touch books, kid's cellphone and rubber ducks onto the floor to run around the house with the bucket on his head! He laughs hysterically, bumps into walls, falls down, laughs more and than gets back up and does it again! When he tires of the bucket on his head, he sits down on the bucket and babbles on about (we think) how much fun it is to have a bucket on his head. Go figure.

Gwen & Ryan Get Married!!!!

Last weekend we had the priviledge of watching two of our very best friends get married. They have been friends since highschool (ahhhh) and an amazing couple for the last few years. Jeff and I like to think that it was at our New Years Party several years ago that they finally figured it out, but who knows for sure! We were both honored to be part of the wedding party, it is so much fun to be dressed up together. I love my handsome husband in a tux! The wedding was a blast, the bride stunning and groom relaxed for the first time in several months! Here are few pictures that the photographer shared so far, they are just awesome! I can't wait to have her do a photo session for my website (getting really busy, more on that later!).
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hodgson!!!!!

You can just tell how happy they are!

Just a stinkin' cool pic of the boys, Reservior Dogs style!
Okay, now our pictures, sorry they are not as good!

Gwen's Bachelorette Bash!

In a couple of weeks two of our very best friends, Gwen & Ryan, are getting married and we couldn't be happier for them. To help celebrate, the ladies went out last night for a bachelorette party. Now while I was sworn the "girlfriends code of secrecy", there are a few fun pictures I can post! Love you Gwenny!

To make the night memorable, one of the other bridesmaids (Amber) and I decided we needed to have fun things to wear so people would know we were out for something special. We got these cute but plain tank tops for everyone and then embellished with rhinestones and ribbon. I decided to make Gwen's veil, all the ones in the store are so boring. It was hot pink and black with crazy ribbon streamers. It was huge and totally obnoxious- perfect!

She to stopped so many times to tell her how cool her veil was. It definately got her noticed- I loved it!

The beautiful bride-to-be!

Two Crafty Mommas and a Bride!

We also got all the girls Mardi Gras beads to pass out and these huge, hot pink flashing rings. The ring we got Gwen also flashed but the stone was about the size of an ice cube- totally fun! After a long night of partying (yes, even the mommas made it to 2:00 am!) Amber's husband Dan (the cop) picked up all the crazy girls to make sure we made it home safe. I think the last time he had that many wild girls in his car they were probably going to jail.... Thanks Dan! It was so much fun and I hope the bride-to-be had a blast.

Now on to the wedding!
