Gavin Turns One!!!

Well, we can hardly believe it's been a whole year, but Gavin turned one last week! To celebrate we had a rock star themed party (who would have guessed). I had so much fun designing the invitations to get just the right look. I also made matching VIP passes for all the kids, they were so cute running around wearing them. He was totally spoiled by all the friends and family that helped us celebrate. Because Jeff and I are just plain crazy, we got him his first (real) drum set in metallic red complete with mini stool and drum sticks! He loves playing on it, mostly banging with his hands. Jeff is so proud!!!! For anybody that know me, they know how much I like to plan and organize- I think I enjoyed the party more than anyone! I even had a fabulous rock star cake designed by Sugar Buzz.

It was so awesome I didn't want to cut into it! The best moment was definately when it came time for Gavin to have cake. Unfortunately I didn't pull his smash cake out soon enough and it was a little, well cold and hard. He kept trying to smash his hands in it with no luck.

Finally he just dived head first (litterally!) and sunk his teath in. I was laughing so hard I was crying.

He spend the rest of the night flirting and just showing off (he's now walking, getting better
everyday!). When his mohawk fell we knew it was time for bed. We love all our friends and family for coming out and making this day so special!
